summary
The opening exhibit for the Sealaska Heritage Institutes new building and exhibit gallery invites the visitor to learn about the Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian people of Southeast Alaska. The exhibit allows many learning opportunities through artifacts, diorama, murals, graphics and future a/v and interactive exhibits. The building and exhibit opened May 15, 2015. The team faced many challenges from hip and knee replacements, illness, the client losing two staff members, and the construction of the new building. Our solution to these and the speed of minor content shifts all along the way, was to look at each issue and creatively solve it as a team.
